Back home!

Our journey home was quiet and everything went well. We all had two things in common. Firstly, we all were very tired after a very long day, and, secondly, we have a lot of things to explain... Now, it's time to rest. See you in a few days... Bye bye for now!

Hello from Covent Garden

Just a few words to let you know that we have left our suitcases is the school office and we have already visited the British Museum... What an incredible place! We have seen the Rosetta Stone, Cleopatra's mummy and some mummies of animals. These Egyptian people were a bit strange, weren't they?

Guess what? we are writing this message from the huge Apple Store in Covent Garden and some of our students are here, too! We are taking the most of our stay in London, that's for sure!
Tomorrow more and the pictures, I promise.

See you tomorrow!

Today when we have arrived at the meeting point some of our students were wearing shiny brand new shoes and sweaters. They were so happy! As there is a 'Starbucks' a few metres from the underground station, some of them carry their take-away coffees with names they have invented written on their plastic glasses! They are so funny!

Then they have left with Paul and Nicky to their school for the morning lessons, the last day of their English lessons. Don't tell them, but the teachers say that they are very good students, they are quite chatty, but the lessons are very interesting and work really well. They are very happy with the students of Cor de Maria Blanes. Once they have finished, we have taken our packed lunch and we have taken the underground to Saint Paul's Cathedral, an incredible building full of history and with one of the biggest domes in the world. Simply amazing! Then we have entered The City, the financial centre of London. We have walked along the incredible Milennium Bridge to the other side of the Thames to find the Tate Gallery, one of the most important museums of modern art in the world. Do you know that it was an old factory and it has still gor the old chimney which is just in front of St Paul's Cathedral but it measures just one metre less?

We have had a few minutes left but not enough to see its exhibitions. Then we have headed to Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. These buildings are incredibly awesome with a lot of history in their stones, so many important prisoners and executions! Then, we were very tired and we went back to Ealing and arranged everything for our last day of London... And, we went all to a pizzeria to have our last dinner in London together and we all gave a big surprise to Judith...
I'm sorry I cannot upload the pictures but there is somekind of software conflict and I will have to do it on Sunday.
Tomorrow more, our last day in London and two big adventures ahead: the British Museum and Convent Garden. I'm sure they will love them!

Just one last thing, now you can write your comments, as there was a problem but now it's been sorted out.

Good night and sweet dreams!

Yes,yes!Georgina m'ha superat...la dona de la casa li pregunta "What is the weather like in Blanes?

Today is our third day in London. We have met our new teacher, Nicky, and we have had two different groups. The students have done activities which they have enjoyed a lot. Then, we have had lunch before taking the tube to Candem Town. This is one of the best places to go shopping in London, and, our students have practised a lot! You can find anything there, it doesn't matter what you are looking for, you'll find it in Candem.
And tomorrow more, and I promise we'll put some more pictures.

Our second day in London

Today is our second day in London. The students cannot stop talking about their families. They are explaining their first contact experiences and, luckily, they are very positive. Two very important things. The first one, they have eaten English food and it wasn't that bad. And the second, and not less important, is that they are speaking English! Which is great news for you and us...
Now, they are in class, but finally, we are not in central London. We are in a building in Ealing, so there's been a small change in our programme. After class, we will pick up our packed lunches and we'll eat them in Green Park, in the centre of London, under this fastastic English sun! Another great sunny hot day in London.

Some of our students played an international football match in the park with other players from Spain, Italy, France and England.

Our plans for the afternoon are exciting, we are walking around some of the most important buildings and places of London.
Later today, we will tell you more about it with some pictures!

Now sightseeing, or 'real London' as our students say. First of all, Buckingham Palace and Queen Victoria Memorial. Then St James Park and Marble Arch, and a short stop at Trafalgar Square and the huge black lions. I think that our students have taken hundreds of pictures! Red phone boxes, 10 Downing Street, flags, etc... They never stop, and finally, Big Ben and The Houses of Parliament. 'Real London'! Some students were a bit disappointed today because they wanted a ride in The London Eye, but it has not been posible. Not everybody wanted to do it, and we couldn't split the group in two parts with just one guide... So, next time, a perfect excuse to come back to London.

See you tomorrow!

Our students are really excited, and hungry!
We have had our first adventure! We have run through 'Terminal 2' to the 'Terminal C'' to catch our flight...

That was a bit far but finally, we got on the plane, but Glòria and one of the students were the last to board.
The flight has been really good, without any important incidents, only, some students shouting, laughing loudly, ... And some British people annoyed for all this noise...
At the airport we have met Mariona, the girl from Home to Home who is coming with us to record a video of our experience. Now, there is one more person in the group.
Once in London the weather is fantastic! Sunny and very hot, the temparature is about 21C. Much hotter in London than in Blanes.

We have met Paul, our teacher-guide and we have taken a bus to Ealing to leave our suitcases and have lunch. Most of our students have rushed into McDonalds, of course!

Then our first experiece in the London Underground, and off to the Natural History museum. Amazing dinosaurs...

Some of us have even sunbathed a bit, while waiting for our time back to Ealing and time to meet our host families. We were all really excited and nervous.
